First look at Cryengine3 powered PS4 ‘Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture’

The Chinese Room, the studio behind the PC indie hit Dear Esther has revealed some information about Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, a first person adventure developed for the Playstation 4.

At the official Playstation Blog, the co-directors of the story driven title Dan and Jessica have detailed more about the game which involves taking control of a scientist who is trying to work out why an apocalypse has taken place.

The Chinese Room say “It’s all about the end of the world. You play the role of a scientist, trapped in the very second of the apocalypse, and the game is about discovering what has happened. You do this by exploring a large open-world environment, and interacting with the objects, places and people you find to gradually unlock and put together the story.”

The developer details that the game is a non-linear adventure focusing on a well scripted storyline and the 'emotional journey' of the characters. Check out the trailer on this page.

Kitguru says: It certainly looks interesting, but we reserve final judgement until we get time to play it.
