TeamGroup’s new NV5000 SSD offers ‘nova value’

Today TemGroup is launching its latest SSD, the NV5000, utilising PCIe 4.0 technology, making it ideal for both PCs and the PS5 console.

The new NV series, short for Nova Value, aims to deliver an optimal combination of performance and value. The first SSD in this series is the NV5000, with other models to come at a later date. The SSD utilises 3D NAND and the PCIe Gen 4×4 interface.

The NV5000 will be available in capacities up to 2TB, with read speeds of up to 5000MB/s, more than nine times faster than a standard SATA SSD. The drive also uses TeamGroup's S.M.A.R.T. monitoring software, which offers quick configuration options and monitoring for drive health and performance in real-time.

For cooling, the NV5000 is equipped with TeamGroup’s patented heat-dissipating graphene label, which effectively lowers operating temperatures. Measuring under 1mm thick, the label eliminates installation interference and works seamlessly with motherboard M.2 heatsinks to further improve cooling efficiency.
