The LC-Power LC1200P2 power supply is another solid release from the company. I rated the 1000 watt version of this unit quite highly and this unit is no different. First impressions of the box and packaging are positive, although I was surprised to see the lack of any Cybenetics certifications. I would much rather see approvals from Cybenetics than 80 Plus in 2025.
Visually, the LC1200P2 is well finished and the simple two-tone aesthetic looks well. The top brushed metal panel is a nice touch and hints at a little creativity from the company without going into some weird and wacky design elements.
Technically these units are well designed and use some quality components throughout. The 1200W version uses 105C rated capacitors from Rubycon, the 1000W version we tested a short while ago adopted caps from Nippon Chemi Con. Both are comparable in regards to quality, and likely they are using whatever Japanese caps are available at the time.
Ripple suppression is not class leading, but all falls within industry rated parameters and there were no issues at all during a weeks testing. Efficiency levels are excellent peaking at around 94%. The Hong Hua fan in this unit is a high-grade fluid dynamic bearing fan we have seen in many Seasonic power supplies before and it delivers high levels of airflow without making a racket.
LC-Power pricing is confirmed to be 209 euros, or £209 in the United Kingdom. This is £30 more than the 1000 watt unit we tested a short while ago. That said, LC-Power sent us this Amazon link with the PSU listed at just £189. It is from a third-party selling but LC-Power told us the company, C&L Store, is their official partner for Amazon sales.

- Fully modular.
- 10-year warranty.
- High levels of platinum efficiency.
- Technically a solid design.
- Cables are high quality.
- Pricing seems competitive (though a small amount above LC-Power's MSRP).
Cons:
- Availability might be an issue in certain parts of the world.
- Stiff competition.
KitGuru says: The LC-Power LC1200P2 has proven to be a solid performer in our testing and with competitive pricing and a 10-year warranty, it certainly is worthy of a purchase.
