At Computex this year, Seasonic is celebrating its 50th anniversary. As part of that, Seasonic has begun experimenting with new PSU colour options, including glossy black, red, white and blue designs. We typically only see PSUs available in black or white colour options so this is a nice change of pace, but the units on display are just samples, so we don't know if these will make it to the consumer market.
One of the crazier power supply units on display at this year's event is Seasonic's new Prime PX-3200, which as the name implies, provides a whopping 3200W of power. Something like this would be destined for an AI workstation, with four 12V-2×6 connectors for multiple high-performance RTX graphics cards.
Seasonic is continuing its partnership with Noctua as well, with a new range of Prime NE power supplies, each with a Noctua fan inside for cooling. Noctua is well-regarded for its coolers and fans, often ranking amongst the quietest case fans on the market, as long as you can deal with the brown and beige colour scheme.
Seasonic is also continuing to refine its OptiSink and OptiGuard technologies. The former is a new cooling solution for the Focus GX units, including a new PCB layout with smaller MOSFETs to increase internal space and facilitate better airflow for the components within. OptiGuard is an advanced safety feature to protect systems using high-power graphics cards. There are sensors installed at the terminals of the 12V-2×6 connectors to constantly monitor current and temperature readings, then as soon as there is a sudden spike or abnormal reading, the PSU quickly responds to safeguard the system. This is Seasonic's solution to Nvidia's melting power connector problem, which has impacted both RTX 40 and RTX 50 series GPUs with 12VHPWR connectors.
