Seasonic rumoured to debut 1000W fanless PSU at CES

Seasonic is reportedly preparing to launch its most powerful passively cooled power supply to date. According to a recent report, the company is developing a 1000W unit that is expected to join the high-end Prime Fanless TX family.

If Cowcotland's report is accurate, the unit, which may be named the Prime Fanless TX-1000, would shatter Seasonic's current fanless ceiling, which tops out at 700W.

The new PSU is expected to maintain the series' 80 Plus Titanium efficiency rating (about 94% at 50% load), a fully modular design, and a relatively compact ATX footprint. Seasonic is also expected to offer the typical 12-year manufacturer's warranty and 100,000-hour MTBF, as it does with its other flagship products.

The unit is rumored to debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. While specific details on the connector configuration, such as native ATX 3.x support, are currently unknown, the price point is sure to be premium. For comparison, the existing Prime Fanless TX-700 unit currently retails for around £210/€250, suggesting the 1000 W model won't come cheap.
