MSI introduces new MAG A-GLS ATX 3.1 PSUs

MSI has launched a new power supply unit series, the MAG A-GLS PCIE5. Designed for contemporary PC builds, these ATX 3.1 PSUs are available in four wattages: 1000W, 850W, 750W, and 650W.

All MSI MAG A-GLS models in the series fully comply with the latest ATX 3.1 standard and can handle up to 220% total power excursion, ensuring stability during high loads. They also boast triple Gold efficiency certifications from 80 Plus, Cybenetics, and PPLP, guaranteeing reliable and efficient power delivery.

The “S” in the GLS moniker stands for Silent. MSI highlights improved acoustic design compared to earlier MAG (GL) PSUs, featuring a 135mm FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) fan and optimised fan curves for quieter operation. Even the highest 1000W model achieved a Cybenetics “A” sound certification with a 230V input, inheriting silent-focused design principles from MSI's higher-end series.

Designed for safety and long-term use, these MAG power supplies have UL-certified cables and nickel-plated connections to resist oxidation. Built-in security features, such as Over Current Protection (OCP) and Over Temperature Protection (OTP), further help keep your entire system running safely and smoothly. MSI has also improved the DIY build experience, including embossed jacket modular cables that offer enhanced flexibility and bendability, simplifying cable routing and management within the case. A pre-installed cable organiser further assists in creating a cleaner build. All models are backed by a 7-year warranty.

KitGuru says: How much importance do you give to a PSU's noise levels? Based on the Cybenetics noise certification process, do you think an “A” rating would be enough to meet your demands?
