Asus Rampage IV Black Edition (X79) Motherboard Review

Performance of the onboard audio solution is an important factor for modern motherboards. We use Right Mark Audio Analyzer to analyse the performance of the motherboard's onboard audio solution.

A sampling mode of 24-bit, 192 kHz was tested.

Asus' onboard SupremeFX Black audio solution consists of SupremeFX shielding and EMI cover (including an isolated PCB), ELNA audio and WIMA film capacitors, differential circuit with operational amplifiers, a 120dB SNR Cirrus Logic CS4398 digital to analogue converter, and Texas Instruments’ TPA6120A2 600 Ohm headphone amplifier. Realtek's ALC1150 is the audio codec used to control the system.

Using the SupremeFX Black solution, Asus' Rampage IV Black Edition delivers particularly strong audio performance, according to Right Mark Audio Analyzer.
