Klevv Urbane V RGB DDR5-7600MT/s 32GB Review

Launched in November 2024, Klevv's latest memory line is the Urbane V RGB aimed at high-end gaming and advanced content creation. At launch, the Urbane V RGB product line comprises eight speeds in three kit sizes. The largest kit size is 64GB with only two speed options, 6000MT/s ( 30-36-36-76) and 6400MT/s (32-38-38-78) both at 1.35V.

Next up is 48GB and this is the kit size that contains all eight speeds including the two fastest in the range; 6000MT/s ( 30-36-36-76) and 6400MT/s (32-38-38-78) at 1.35V, 6800MT/s (34-40-40-80), 7200MT/s (34-44-44-84), 7600MT/s (36-46-46-86) all at 1.40V and 8000MT/s (38-48-48-128), 8200MT/s (38-49-49-131 ) and 8400MT/s (40-52-52-134) all at 1.45V.

The smallest kit size is 32GB which is made up of six of the eight speeds running from 6000MT/s up to 8000MT/s.

For the Urbane V RGB, Klevv has used quite a low,42.5mm, profile module. The 2mm thick aluminium heat spreaders are finished in white with the bottom half grooved for better cooling. The RGB defuser bar at the top of the module is split along its length by a chrome-finished strip into two sections. The RGB works well and is controlled by the motherboard RGB controller software; Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync and ASRock Polychrome Sync are all supported.

Klevv supplied us with a 32GB kit of Urbane V RGB DDR5-7600 for review. It uses a pair of single-rank 16GB DIMMs using SK Hynix A-die IC XMP 3.0 / EXPO rated at 7600MHz at 36-46-46-86-132 at 1.40V.

Performance-wise the Urbane V RGB 7600MT/s s is something of a mixed bag. Used in the Intel test rig it gave the fastest AIDA64 read and second-best write scores we've seen to date but that is not the case using the AMD system where its read result puts it in fourth spot. The Handbrake and Cinebench 2024 test results were disappointing using the Intel test rig but better under the AMD system.

We couldn't find the Urbane V RGB 7600MT/s 32GB kit on sale in the UK when writing this review, but the MSRP is $135.99.

Pros

  • Overall performance.
  • Build quality.
  • RGB.
  • Limited lifetime warranty.

Cons

  • Some test results were a little disappointing.
  • Single XMP and EXPO profiles.
  • No dedicated RGB software.

KitGuru says: The modules in Klevv's Urbane V RGB DDR5-7600 32GB kit are well built and finished but performance wise offered a mixed bag of results, It is the fastest we've seen to date in the AIDA 64 benchmark (Intel) but on the flip side the Cinebench 2024 and Handbrake test results were a little disappointing.
