We used the latest version of MSI Afterburner to handle the overclocking today.


We managed to push the core clock to 1161mhz (1,213mhz turbo), and the memory from 1,753 mhz to 1,822mhz. These translate to a 9.6% and 4% increase respectively.


The manual overclock translates into around a 500 point increase. Still not enough to catch the Sapphire HD7970 6GB Toxic, but considering the price difference of around £130 we could class that as a win for MSI.

I like the sounds of the cooler, my old 7870 is loud as hell.
