To overclock today we are using the latest beta version of Sapphire’s TriXX tool , V4.6.2.

There is quite a lot of overclocking headroom with this card. We managed to increase the core from 1,075mhz to 1,211mhz, translating to a 12.65% gain. The memory overclocked to 1,663mhz.

The overclock translates into a 300 point score increase in the latest version of 3DMark – the Fire Strike test. Still a little behind the reference clocked HD7850, but quite close.

  2. The HD7850 is still the card to get at the prices they are selling them for in the last couple of weeks. its like a fire bomb sale.
