AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT is one of the most efficient cards ever at ETH mining

The recently released AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT is aimed at gamers looking for a mid-range GPU, but according to some tests, it might also be very good for miners. As it seems, out-of-the-box mining performance isn't mind-blowing, but once we consider power consumption, it becomes the most efficient GPU for ETH mining on the market.

According to u/Trollatopoulous on Reddit, the Radeon RX 6600 XT sits at the top of the efficiency ranking for ETH mining. Although this post is flagged as speculation, Dizzy Mining's video confirms these results.

At stock settings, the Radeon RX 6600 XT offered 28MH/s at 93W. Once tweaked by undervolting and overclocking the memory, hashing performance increases to 32MH/s and power consumption goes down to 55W.

Compared to other Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs, the RX 6600 XT is by far the best for mining. Offering almost 0.6 MH/s per W when tweaked, the Radeon RX 6600 XT easily beats the previous leader of the ranking, the Radeon VII, which offers about 0.465 MH/s per W.

KitGuru says: The RX 6600 XT might be exceptional for ETH mining, but it might be coming too late as Ethereum is expected to become non-minable later this year. However, there are multiple other minable coins and algorithms where the Radeon RX might offer similar efficiency.
