Reports have reached us that the Intel Gulftown Core i7 970 has started shipping in the US and Europe with the asking price set around 850 euros/$900.
This processor is a 32nm six core Gulftown cpu which runs at 3.2ghz and has 12mb of Level 3 cache and just like the 980x has 6 cores and 12 threads with HT enabled. Most motherboard manufacturers will be supporting this with a simple bios update from their website.
