Recently we have changed our method of measuring noise levels. Ambient noise in the room is around 20dBa. We measure from a distance of around 1 meter from the chassis and 4 foot from the ground with our Extech digital sound level meter to mirror a real world situation.

10dBA – Normal Breathing/Rustling Leaves
20-25dBA – Whisper
30dBA – High Quality Computer fan
40dBA – A Bubbling Brook, or a Refridgerator
50dBA – Normal Conversation
60dBA – Laughter
70dBA – Vacuum Cleaner or Hairdryer
80dBA – City Traffic or a Garbage Disposal
90dBA – Motorcycle or Lawnmower
100dBA – MP3 player at maximum output
110dBA – Orchestra
120dBA – Front row rock concert/Jet Engine
130dBA – Threshold of Pain
140dBA – Military Jet takeoff/Gunshot (close range)
160dBA – Instant Perforation of eardrum
Medium settings are ideal for an overclocked system, as the trade off between performance and noise is well matched. At high settings, the Thermaltake OCK might be close in performance to the Noctua NH D14, but the dBa emissions are painful.
thats a damn good cooler looking at the size of it. stupid to try and go head to head with the D14 tho, its a monster.

Great cooler indeed, but silly things they were doing before it launched. dont understand why they thought anyone would believe 7c better than D14. ludicrous.
£50 is a hefty asking price, Frio was a bargain, not sure this is worth £15 more. Its good but is it better than the Antec liquid cooler for less? I dont think so. They need to drop the UK price.
This is awesome, but yeah, dont know what they were thinking. its made them look very stupid.
This really is like the Prolimatech Megahalems, with a few mods. wonder if the same company makes both.
