From all angles this case looks good, and the front is certainly no exception to their claims of ‘quiet sophistication'. It is extremely reflective as can be seen in the images.
The case is finished in a very glossy piano black, while it looks sophisicated, it does show up fingerprints and dirt very clearly.
A close-up of the inputs on the front of the case reveal 2*USB 3.0 and 2*USB 2.0 ports, as well as speaker/headphone and a microphone jack.
The top of the case has a grill that you might think would fit a nice 140mm fan or larger, unfortunately as this case has the PSU mounted at the top this is infact an intake for the PSU fan.
The back of the case has the PSU positioned at the top, with a fan, I/O panel and a typical 7 expansion bays. Antec have included a controller to adjust the speed of the fan.
While we don't always comment on the feet at the bottom of the case, we were very impressed with those included on this chassis. Unlike other cases they don't feel like they are going to fall off with rough handling. They also dampen vibrations and hold the chassis steady on a variety of surfaces.
I still have the first version, it was a solid case, but it had some flaws. this one seems better
I bought a case with a piano finish and I honestly will never go back, it looks great at the start, but you spend a lot of time keeping it clean and free from marks and dust. If you have a young kid in the house, never even contemplate one of these.
An innocuous looking review whith a hidden secret: It’s a clever idea to move the stock fan in front and to use the CPU cooler fan to push air directly outside the case instead of against a rear fan.
