Thermaltake brings wooden accents to the View 270 Plus PC case

Thermaltake is embracing the popular wood accent trend with a new version of its View 270 Plus mid-tower case, launched just under a year ago. The newly revealed View 270 Plus WS takes the chassis of the original and adds a touch of natural elegance for builders who want a more sophisticated aesthetic for their setup.

The key change for the ‘WS' model is the addition of a wood panel to the lower section of the case. The white version of the chassis features a light-coloured wood accent, while the black version is paired with a darker wood finish. It's a purely stylistic update, but one that will appeal to the growing number of builders who are moving away from the all-out ‘gamer' look and towards something that fits a modern living space.

Underneath the new wood trim, the case retains the same capable interior as the original View 270 Plus. It's an ATX mid-tower with ample room for high-end components, including graphics cards up to 420 mm in length and tall CPU air coolers up to 180 mm in height. For liquid cooling, the top panel can accommodate up to a 360mm radiator.

The case still comes with three 120mm fans pre-installed, including two reverse-blade fans for the side intake next to the motherboard. It's worth noting that these are quiet models that run at just 1000 rpm, so while noise levels should be low, builders with very high-end hardware may want to consider faster fans.
