Elgato Wave Mic Arm MK.2 has arrived

Elgato has launched a pair of new products aimed at content creators seeking a more professional and streamlined audio setup. The launch includes the new Wave Mic Arm MK.2 and, in a move that will please many streamers and podcasters, a standalone version of its AI-powered Voice Focus VST plugin.

The Wave Mic Arm MK.2 is an upgrade over the original model, now featuring higher-quality metal components for a more durable and refined design. Elgato claims the new arm provides smoother, quieter movement with a full 360-degree range of motion. Moreover, it includes hidden cable channels for a clean look, a riser extension to increase its vertical range, and a padded desk clamp that prevents damage to the mounting location.

Equally important, Elgato's Voice Focus technology is no longer exclusive to its Wave Link software ecosystem. It's now available as a standalone VST/AU plugin that can be used with any microphone in any compatible digital audio workstation (like Logic Pro or Reaper) or broadcast software. The AI-powered plugin provides real-time noise and reverb reduction, effectively isolating your voice from keyboard clicks and room echo without the compression artefacts resulting from standard noise reduction.

The Wave Mic Arm MK.2 is available now for $119.99/€119.99. The standalone Voice Focus plugin is also available today from Elgato Marketplace for $49.99/€42.79, though it remains a free, integrated feature for users of Elgato's Wave microphones.
